Rothesay Life is looking to move out of the Cheesegrater, EC3, and take up premises in Holborn.
The insurance firm is in talks to move to Oxford Properties and Brockton Capital’s Post Building, WC1.
Rothesay occupies around 13,500 sq ft on level 25 of the Leadenhall Building, better known as the Cheesegrater.
It is now looking at taking a floor at the Post Building offering 44,000 sq ft of office space.
Rents at the Post Building, which is still under construction, are quoted in the high £90s/sq ft.
The building comprises around 270,000 sq ft of offices with one-acre floorplates, private roof terraces to every floor, and a 7,000 sq ft rooftop garden.
Last year, McKinsey signed a prelet at the Post Building, for its new London headquarters.
The global management consultant has an option to take up to 130,000 sq ft at the former Royal Mail sorting office, which is being developed into a 320,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme.
JLL, Pilcher Hershman and CBRE are joint leasing agents for the offices; CBRE and Davis Coffer Lyons are joint leasing agents for the retail and restaurants.
All parties declined or did not respond to requests for comment.
