Roxy Ball Room tees up first London site

Plans are in for indoor games and entertainment provider Roxy Ball Room to open its first London site at AmTrust Europe’s 33 St Mary Axe, EC3.

A change-of-use application has been submitted to the City of London Corporation for a new sport and leisure venue in the block’s 16,468 sq ft former TK Maxx store, which has been vacant since 2022.

If approved, the venue would offer games and sporting activities such as such as bowling, pool, shuffleboards, darts, crazy golf and batting cages across the ground and lower ground floors. It would also offer food, drinks and karaoke booths.

Roxy Ball Room first opened in December 2013. The company now has 17 venues across the UK in cities including Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff and Leicester.

AmTrust Europe purchased the freehold to the 120,859 sq ft building from QSuper in 2017 for £105m.
