Royal Berkshire hotel sells for £15m

Exclusive Hotels has bought the Royal Berkshire hotel in Ascot at the asking price of £15m.

The 63-bedroom Queen Anne country house hotel, set in around 15 acres of grounds, was brought to the market by a fund manager as a freehold. It is currently operated by Jarvis Hotels and was sold without a brand or management contract.

The world-famous Wentworth Golf Club is adjacent to the hotel and The Guards’ Polo Club and Legoland Windsor are also in close proximity.

Exclusive Hotels owns several other luxury country house hotels in the UK including Pennyhill Park, Bagshot and The Manor House, Wiltshire.

CBRE Hotels advised the fund manager.
