Royal London Asset Management has submitted a planning application for a 46,000 sq ft store for US fashion brand Forever 21 in Liverpool.
The developer proposes the demolition of a building on the corner of Whitechapel and Church Street close to Grosvenor’s Liverpool One shopping scheme in central Liverpool. It will replace it with a five-storey store for Forever 21, which currently has one branch in the UK – in Birmingham – and also has plans to open in London and Glasgow.
The store, which is designed by architect DLG alongside Forever 21’s in-house architects, could open in November 2012.
Larry Meyer, executive vice-president of Forever 21, said: “This location in Liverpool is another strong step of our expansion within the UK and Europe. We are extremely excited to have found a great store space in a location where our customers will appreciate our brand. The size of this store will allow us to offer a great range of products at great value to fashion conscious and trend driven shoppers in the area.”
