Royal Mail is eyeing Richardson Barberry’s 4,830 sq m (52,000 sq ft) refurbishment at Maple House for its new city centre administration operation.
The company is looking for up to 5,574 sq m (60,000 sq ft) of offices to maintain a city centre presence following the decision to move its main business to a new processing centre in Newton, Aston. Maple House is on the market through DTZ Debenham Thorpe at a rent of £156 per sq m (£14.50 per sq ft).
Royal Mail is still looking for up to 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) of warehousing in the city centre, close to its old sorting office on Royal Mail and Blucher Streets.
Weatherall Green & Smith and King Sturge & Co are advising the Royal Mail in its search for offices and warehousing respectively.
