Royal Mail is planning to open ten temporary parcel sorting centres to service the Christmas season.
This year, the fourth that the institution has opened seasonal centres, it will take temporary space at Leeds, Greater Manchester, West Lothian, south Wales, Swindon, Greenford, Peterborough, Wolverhampton and Milton Keynes.
There will also be an international sorting centre at Heathrow.
All the centres will be opened on a phased basis from 3 November.
