E-business consultancy Rubus has taken 1,978 sq m (21,289 sq ft) on two floors at Orbit Developments’ 55 King Street scheme in central Manchester. A rent of £17.95 per sq ft (£193.22 per sq m) is understood to have been agreed on a 20-year lease with breaks at years five and 10.
Letting agents Jones Lang LaSalle and Tushingham More claim that negotiations are now at an advanced stage with three other office occupiers, two of which are blue-chip companies and one an institution. Just over 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) of offices remain available
The retail and leisure element of the scheme has already netted Le Petit Blanc brasserie, Calvin Klein, Whistles, LA Fitness and Vidal Sassoon.
