Rushbond Leeds regen letting

Investor and developer Rushbond has let an office building in Holbeck, Leeds, to community regeneration and housebuilding firm Keepmoat.

Rushbond has agreed a new 15-year lease on 10,100 sq ft. The office is being fitted out for occupation in September.

Keepmoat will relocate more than 100 staff from its base on the Cross Green industrial estate to No 1 Bowling Green before the end of August.

The letting comes after Rushbond redeveloped the 10,100 sq ft, two-storey office building.

Rushbond is working on major Yorkshire schemes including The Majestic in Leeds, Bretton Hall near Wakefield and 111 student homes at Algernon Firth in Leeds city centre.

Keepmoat’s Mike Edwards said: “Property Services is one of four key areas within Keepmoat which has seen significant growth over the past 12 months. The division recently secured work from the Leeds city council PFI scheme and this office will be the national head office for the property services business, supporting a number of operational depots across the country with its 24/7 call centre facility, commercial, finance, procurement, marketing and business development functions.

“It will also provide our Yorkshire operational base, serving clients across the county including Leeds city council, Leeds Federated Housing Association, Accent Foundation, West Yorkshire Police, Anchor Housing Trust, “Johnnie” Johnson Housing Trust, Yorkshire Housing Limited, Unity Housing Association and Housing 21.”

Carter Towler and Harvey Burns acted as agents on the development.
