Ryder cup tees off Welsh business boost

The struggling Welsh tourism industry and a host of Welsh businesses can look forward to a £65m windfall after the Celtic Manor golf course near Newport won the right to host the 2010 Ryder Cup.

WDA chairman Sir David Rowe-Beddoe celebrated the news, saying: “Golf perhaps more than any other sport is closely associated with businesses and many corporate decision makers across the globe are enthusiasts.”
