FINANCE: Storage group Safestore Holdings has posted a 4.5% UK revenue rise for the third quarter.
Sales rose to £18.4m in the UK, compared with £17.6m in Q3 2013, the company said today in its trading update for 1 May to 31 July.
During the same period occupancy also improved, marginally, with 2.7m sq ft let, up from 2.6m sq ft.
Group revenue increased to £24.9m from £24m.
The firm’s long-term target is to fill the 1.6m sq ft of space not occupied.
Frederic Vecchioli, chief executive officer, said: “Our focus on operational improvement in the UK is resulting in higher occupancy and rate growth whilst our French business has continued to perform well following a strong first half.”
