Fitzwilton said it should reach agreement on a joint venture with Safeway by the end of the month in connection with its Northern Ireland Wellworth stores.
It is believed a sell-off of at least 50% of Wellworth to Safeway for about IR£80m is high on the agenda. There is also speculation they could agree a joint venture to operate outlets in the Irish Republic.
