Safeway to open first Scottish convenience stores

Safeway has secured its first two convenience stores north of the border.

It is to open a 4,300 sq ft (399.5 sq m) c-store at the former Wilkies store on Shandwick Place in Edinburgh, and a 3,900 sq ft (362 sq m) store at the Ca’d’oro building at the junction of Gordon Street and Union Street in Glasgow.

DTZ introduced the sites to Safeway.
