Sainsbury plans to close 20 former Texas stores
Sainsbury is planning to close up to 20 more former Texas stores.
But a store opening and expansion programme will see Sainsbury’s create 6,500 new jobs next year. The supermarket group reported a rise in pre-tax profits, in the six months to September 21, to £411m from £393m last time. Sales were up 4.2% on last year.
