Muse Developments and Blackpool council have secured Sainsbury’s as the anchor to their £220m Central Business District scheme.
The scheme, formerly known as Talbot Gateway, will feature a 60,000 sq ft supermarket with 600 car parking spaces as well as new offices for the council.
Plans for the project have been submitted this week. Subject to consent, Muse hopes to be on site by next summer.
The building has been designed by Leach Rhodes Walker.
Mike Horner, regional director at Muse, said: “The store will bring lots of new shoppers to the town centre and will help give it a massive boost.”
