Manchester developer Salboy has expanded to London with a £40m scheme in the Earls Court Regeneration area.
Salboy has bought the freehold to the 0.67-acre site on Cluny Mews, SW5, with consent for 35 homes and 7,500 sq ft of office space from Buckthorn.
The site is located close to Philbeach Gardens. It currently holds a two-storey office building and car park. Salboy’s joint venture company Domis will begin construction this month.
The developer is currently on-site on major sites including Castle Irwell, a new urban village of 500 homes in Salford, and Viadux, a 40-storey residential tower in Manchester city centre, built above the Victorian viaducts. Last year, Salboy completed six major projects in the region, delivering more than 1,300 homes.
Salboy co-founder and managing director Simon Ismail said: “We see London as a key part of our future strategy and this site perfectly fits our criteria with consented planning for luxurious accommodation with a prestigious address and access to good transport and local amenities.”
Knight Frank advised Buckthorn.
