Despite the uncertain economic backdrop, Westfield’s UK director of operations, Bill Giouroukos, said sales are holding up at Westfield London and Stratford City.
Speaking at MAPIC, Giouroukos said footfall at the two shopping centres was above expectations. He said sales were higher than had been budgeted and he had his ‘fingers crossed’ for a positive Christmas sales period.
Giouroukos also commented on Westfield’s recent developments in Croydon and gave an insight into the progress of the Belfast’s Castle Court shopping centre sale.
