Like-for-like sales at UK pubs and restaurants rose by 0.3% on the year in July, according to the Coffer Peach business tracker.
Sales in London rose by 2.9% in the month following the Brexit vote; sales outside the M25 were down 0.5%.
CGA Peach director Jamie Campbell said the coming year was expected to be fairly flat, with growth of around 1% at most.
