Peel Waters is poised to kick off the development of a new logistics and industrial scheme following approval from Salford City Council.
The scheme, called Halo West, has a GDV of £25m and involves the redevelopment of a brownfield site previously used as a waste recycling facility to create a 108,553 sq ft employment zone. It will comprise eight buildings ranging from 4,338 sq ft to 39,460 sq ft.
Designed by AEW Architects, the grade-A scheme is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Peter Linstead, development director of logistics at Peel Waters, said: “Halo West has been designed to be a logistics scheme with exceptional sustainability credentials, building specifications and transport connections. The scalability of the development and location will attract a wide range of occupiers, which will create new jobs and promote economic growth for the local area.”
WSP advised Peel Waters on planning matters.
