Sallmanns land Landers

Sallmanns — the Australian-owned property consultancy — have purchased City of London-based Landers for £1.2m. The deal comes immediately after Sallmanns’ purchase of auctioneers Harman Healy for up to £6.7m (see our issue of April 29).

“The Landers acquisition will give us a vital presence in the City of London,” said Sallmanns’ managing director, Allan Cooper. “It takes us a long way down the road to providing our clients with a one-stop international property service.”

In addition to giving Sallmanns a City of London presence, the deal will satisfy three of the company’s long-term objectives. It will provide the company with a rating team in time for the 1990 revaluation, a project management department, and a property management team with experience of advising institutional clients.

“The joint skills of Sallmanns with its international network,” said Landers’ senior partner, Tom Brown, “Harman Healy with a first-rate commercial property auction business, and Landers with its City of London expertise brings together a formidable team to face the challenge of the 1990s.”
