Salway to join IPD

Outgoing Land Securities chief executive, Francis Salway, is to join the IPD group board as a non-executive director.

Salway, who is also a non-executive director of retailer Next and a former president of the British Property Federation, will take up his position with IPD on 1 April.

He will join existing IPD non-executive directors Michael Brodtman, Piet Eichholtz, Tom Hempenstall, Sir Stuart Lipton and Paul McNamara.

Rupert Nabarro, chairman and founder of IPD, said: “[Salway] has pioneered a technical approach to property investment both at Standard Life and Land Securities. We look forward to gaining the benefit of his experience, insight and advice to help improve IPD’s services in years to come.”
