Santander Corporate Banking has provided a £73m development and investment facility to bring forward a new £200m Imperial College hub.
The bank has provided developer Voreda with the facility to build a 248,000 sq ft translation centre as part of a 518,000 sq ft research and translation hub.
This adds to the £35m Imperial College was awarded in November 2012 from the Higher Education Funding Council for England towards the development of a 270,000 sq ft research centre.
The buildings form part of the new £3bn Imperial West innovation district in White City, W12, which is devoted to data science.
They are scheduled to complete in 2016.
