BCSC 2013: Paul Sargent, a partner at Queensbury Real Estate, who sat on the executive committee of BCSC, made the decision to drop out of Glasgow this year and stage the conference in London.
“It’s the first time that it’s been in London, and that was a major decision that was made last year and it was important to underpin confidence in the sector.
“Perhaps nine months on from that decision being made we could have looked at having it in the regions again – the market is improving. But I think the next couple of years will underpin the sector and the conference in London and then go out to the regions again.”
Sargent also said that local authorities at the conference were “coming to the fore and showing confidence in investing in their own regeneration schemes”.
