Savills and SRS expand retail alliance

Savills has expanded its alliance with US retail specialist SRS Real Estate Partners to include global markets, including the APAC countries.

The alliance, which was formed in 2013, originally focused on the US and UK.

Mark Ridley, global chief executive of Savills, (pictured) said: “Aligning our worldwide platform, comprising more than 600 offices across 70 countries with dedicated expertise across all retail sectors, alongside SRS, a market-leading retail advisory firm in North America, allows us to provide comprehensive advice to our clients across the global retail markets.”

Sam Foyle, co-head of the prime global retail team at Savills, said: “Our strategic alliance with SRS is hugely exciting and one which we have been working on for some time.

“As a firm, we remain very active in the retail sector and, in particular, recognise the importance of brick-and-mortar stores in an increasingly online world.”

Chris Maguire, chief executive and chairman of the board for SRS, said: “This alliance is the latest example of SRS evolving to meet growing client needs.

“For our clients whose needs extend beyond retail and outside of the US, this is big news. We’ve taken meaningful steps to ensure consistent delivery of service across both firms so that you have a strategic partner you can trust for all of your real estate needs.”

SRS has 27 offices staffed by more than 300 people.
