Savills appointed to Birmingham’s Brindleyplace

Savills has been appointed as joint commercial letting agent for the Brindleyplace estate in Birmingham.

A large part of the estate – six buildings and the public realm – was bought earlier this year by clients of HSBC Alternative Investments and is managed by Hines UK. Of the 500,000 sq ft of commercial space, just 50,000 sq ft is available to let across buildings Three, Four and Nine Brindleyplace.

Existing tenants include RBS, Deloitte, Free Radio, Deutsche Bank and Odgers Berndtson.

Savills’ Birmingham office agency team has been appointed alongside GVA ahead of a planned £4m investment into the estate by clients of HSBC, which will see refurbishments and improvements throughout the buildings and public realm.

Ben Thacker, office agency director at Savills, said: “Brindleyplace has grown to be recognised as a leader in its field, with the commercial buildings standing the test of time and developing a reputation as a premier office location. Our appointment is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the next exciting phase of this leading office scheme.”
