Savills breaks November auctions record

Savills raised more than £32m at its November auction, with a success rate of more than 70%.

It took the total raised this month to more than £60m – the highest amount it has raised in auctions in a month at this time of year.

The sale featured a mix of residential, development and commercial lots, with well-priced lots attracting strong competitive bidding.

Highlights include a two-bedroom ground-floor flat in Kensington, SW7, which sold for £714,000 against a guide price of £640,000.

In Shoreditch, E2, an unbroken parade of mews-style workshops let at more than £230,000 per annum sold for £3.85m, against a guide price of £3.75m.

And in Barking, Essex, a freehold development opportunity with planning permission was guided at £100,000 but sold significantly above for £294,000.

Savills’ final auction of the year will be held on 14 December.
