Savills IM gets go-ahead for Covent Garden scheme

Westminster City Council has given Savills Investment Management, acting on behalf of a FTSE 100 corporate pension fund mandate, the green light to create a 89,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme in Covent Garden, WC2.

The plans will see four buildings bounded by Drury Lane, Dryden Street, Arne Street and Shelton Street combined to provide 66,000 sq ft of offices on the upper floors and 23,000 sq ft of flexible retail, restaurant, and gym uses on the ground floor and basement level.

The project team includes Savills as project manager and planning consultant, Quantem as quantity surveyor, Scotch Partners as MEP, and Elliott Wood as structural engineer.

CBRE is advising on office leasing; Shelley Sandzer and Savills are advising on the retail uses.
