Savills office in the frame for gallery

Savills’ 20 Grosvenor Hill, W1, offices could be transformed into a high-end Mayfair art gallery when the agent exits the building next year.

Landlord Grosvenor has been entertaining offers from Gagosian Gallery and Sadie Coles HQ to redevelop the ground and first floors of the 22,000 sq ft building. Some offices could be retained as part of proposals being discussed for a change-of-use planning application.

The space will be available from spring 2013, when Savills staff move to Great Portland Estates’ redevelopment of Marcol House, 33 Margaret Street, W1.

Knight Frank is advising Grosvenor; Pilcher Hershman represents Sadie Coles; Simon Korn is believed to be advising Gagosian.
