Savills has appointed Sally Duggleby, former Amazon UK head of real estate, to head up its industrial and logistics occupier services team.
Duggleby has overseen property acquisitions for Amazon UK for the past seven years, leading the deals that accounted for a significant proportion of the big shed take-up in 2016.
Before Amazon, Duggleby was an asset manager for John Lewis. She started her career at Cluttons and King Sturge.
Savills said the hire was part of its plan to expand the team’s reach from a national to a global level.
Richard Sullivan, national head of industrial and logistics at Savills, said: “With the strength of focus still on the industrial and logistics sector, the business is constantly looking to evolve and add value to its client offer.
“The appointment of Sally as director in charge of our occupier service line is market-leading and we look forward to welcoming her into the national team.
“Her skill set is unique and will form the solid foundation for future growth not just in the UK but also in Europe with the ultimate aim to go global.”
