Savills targets net zero by 2030

Savills UK has revealed it has committed to achieving net carbon zero by 2030, 20 years ahead of the government’s target of 2050.

The agent will look to achieve zero net energy consumption, which will see the company balance its emissions produced and emissions taken out of the atmosphere.

The company will use the UN Sustainable Development Goals to achieve its net zero ambitions.

Savills UK & EMEA chief executive, James Sparrow, said: “As a sector we have a huge responsibility to ensure that we act in a sustainable way that safeguards the future for generations to come.

“This is massively important both to us as a business and to our clients. Committing to achieving net zero by 2030 is an essential part of Savills UK strategy.”
