Scape gets go-ahead for flat scheme

Scape-University-of-Surrey-570

Proposals by Scape Student Living for a 141-bed student flats scheme in Surrey have been given the green light.

The £15m, five-storey development on Walnut Tree Close has been designed by Lewis and Hickey Architects and Ab Rogers Design. It will replace the existing Dairy Crest building at Kernel Court and is adjacent to the University of Surrey.

Construction is expected to begin in July, with completion in time for the 2015-16 academic year. Scape is the asset manager for Gravis Capital Partners, which launched the first UK student accommodation REIT in May 2013.
