Schroder Real Estate IM hires head of continental Europe

Schroder Real Estate Investment Management has appointed Jonathan Harris as its new head of continental Europe, overseeing the real estate investment operations in the region.

Harris, who has joined the business today (16 September), will be based in London. He will report to Duncan Owen, global head of real estate.

Prior to joining Schroders, Jonathan worked at Macquarie Group, where he led teams advising and investing in European and Asia-Pacific real estate across a wide range of sectors and strategies via both private and public capital markets.

Owen said Harris’ role will support Schroders’ core and increasingly value-add investment strategies among its teams in Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Stockholm and Milan.
