Schroders bags fresh lettings for Manchester tower

Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust has confirmed new lettings at its City Tower in Manchester.

In an asset management update, the REIT said Oodle Financial Services, an existing tenant, has taken a five-year lease for an additional 9,181 sq ft unit at £45 per sq ft. Schroder REIT will refurbish the space under its Elevate flexible working brand.

Property manager MAPP, another existing tenant, is moving within the building, signing a five-year lease for 2,647 sq ft of Elevate space at £44 per sq ft. And Min Kee Frozen Food, an Asian grab-and-go operator, has taken a 10-year lease on a ground floor retail unit of 1,002 sq ft at £57.39 per sq ft.

The REIT also said it is commencing construction of an 80,000 sq ft, net-zero carbon scheme at its Stanley Green Trading Estate in the North West. The speculative development will include 11 warehouse and trade units, with a target completion date of late 2022.
