Schroders’ recently appointed chief executive Michael Dobson has warned of tough times ahead for all fund management groups.
Speaking to the Financial Times, Dobson said: “Fund managers are going to face greater competition and are going to need top quartile business management.”
Dobson continues to see growth opportunities in the UK. However, he says that some of the best opportunities lie in overseas markets such as Europe, and the Asia Pacific region where Schroders is strong.
