Schroders Capital has raised an initial £100m for a UK hotel fund.
The launch follows the success of its pan-European hotel fund, which closed above its fundraising target at €525m (£448.9m) two years ago.
Its acquisitions of luxury hotels have included two hotels from Ennismore’s Hoxton brand – one in Paris and one in Amsterdam – for €260m.
Schroders Capital head of operating real estate strategies at James MacNamara said: “This launch reflects our commitment to providing our clients with diverse investment opportunities in highly operational real estate sectors and further strengthens our position as one of the leading players in the market.”
