Schroders wants to raise £26m to invest in high-social-impact property.
The board of the asset manager’s Social Impact Trust said it would issue up to 25m shares at 105p each.
The company, which launched in December last year, raised £75m to invest in high-impact property, debt for social enterprise and social outcome contracts.
Portfolio manager Big Society Capital said it had identified a pipeline of £35m-£70m in scalable investment opportunities. Among the investments being considered is a fund working with local authorities in London to increase the provision of transitional accommodation for the formerly homeless.
The placing opens today and will close on 17 November.
