Clothing retailer Charles Tyrwhitt is expanding north of the border with the launch of its first Scottish store at 52 George Street, Edinburgh.
The retailer has been assigned the existing lease, due to expire in February 2022, from the White Company. It will pay a passing rent of £160,000 pa. It will open in September.
Charles Tyrwhitt has 14 stores in the UK, US and Paris.
Stuart Moncur, head of retail for Cushman & Wakefield in Scotland, which advised Charles Tyrwhitt, said: “Charles Tyrwhitt likes to locate its stores in strong fashion destinations like Jermyn Street in London and Madison Avenue in New York, therefore George Street was the obvious place for its first Scottish store.”
