Scottish Hydro-Electric is to build a 130MW combined heat and power station for ICI Chemicals and Polymers at Runcorn, on Merseyside. The £52m plant will meat ICI’s site requirements for steam and demineralised water for 15 years. The electricity it produces will be sold to customers in England and Wales.
