Scotts deals with Lincs council sell-off

Lincolnshire-based agent Scotts has been awarded a contract to dispose of all of North East Lincolnshire council’s surplus freehold assets.

The council has drawn up an initial list of around 35 sites that are no longer fit for purpose. They include a range of land, depots, offices and former schools.

Scotts said the schools were likely to attract interest from a range of buyers, including care home developers, student accommodation providers and residential investors.

It has already offloaded the 3.5-acre former Lindsey lower school in Cleethorpes, to Yorkare Homes, which is planning an 80-bed care home on the site.
