A consortium including Galliard Homes has finalised an agreement to redevelop a vacant block within the historic Trinity Village behind Borough High Street, SE1.
Galliard Homes, Acorn Property Group and Otterlo London have signed with the Corporation of Trinity House to deliver a Haworth Tompkins-designed residential scheme on Harper Road and Swan Street.
The development will replace a 21,500 sq ft 1960s former post sorting office and the 11,000 sq ft 1930s-built former crown court.
Stephen Conway, chief executive of Galliard Homes said: “This is a rare and exciting opportunity to bring forward an exemplary residential development on this historic estate. Trinity Village is a hidden oasis with distinctive architecture surrounded by urban bustle.”
Acorn and Galliard Homes will manage the delivery and sale of the development. The development will be completed in 2017.
Capita advised the Corporation of Trinity House; the consortium was not represented.
