Sears is offering chargecards with £6,000 worth of spending money to property agents interested in its shops.
Sears is trying to offload 135 properties, some of which are the former Facia-owned outlets. Agents who acquire properties for clients can claim a free chargecard with up to £6,000 to spend. The exact amount depends on the store’s location. Sears is also offering cash payments and rent-free periods of up to six months.
Sears is currently immersed in a radical shake-up of its operations that will see the Selfridges department store demerged next year. The Freemans mail order business is being sold to Littlewoods.
