Another 38 Southern Cross homes have transferred to new operators as the winding down of the care homes firm draws closer to completion.
The transfer of the homes on 14 October is in addition to the 250 that were handed to new companies on 30 September.
Jamie Buchan, chief executive of Southern Cross, said: “With this second wave, 288 of our homes have now transferred to new operators and we expect to complete the process by early November when the final homes are anticipated to transfer.”
There are approximately 464 care homes left to move to new operators.
