Irish property developer Danny Grehan, who owes Nama €308m (£255m), has been declared bankrupt in the UK. It follows the bankruptcy of his brother last week.
According to details filed at the UK Insolvency Register, Daniel Joseph Grehan was declared bankrupt on 6 January at Slough county court.
Nama’s claim relates mainly to guarantees provided over multi-million-euro borrowings by companies owned by the brothers. It also includes personal borrowings.
His brother Ray was declared bankrupt on 30 December, a fortnight after the high court issued a worldwide freezing order against him. He was also ordered to repay Nama last year.
Danny Grehan’s address is listed as 3 Tower House, Uxbridge in Middlesex, and the records state he had lately resided at 6 Princes Park Parade, Hayes.
