SEGRO appoints new non-exec director

SEGRO has named Mary Barnard, regional president of chocolate in Mondelez’s European operations, as an independent non-executive director.

Barnard, who will take up the role on 1 March, is also president of Caobisco, which represents manufacturers in the European chocolate, confectionery and biscuit industries.

Her previous roles include senior vice president and general manager at the Pepsi-Lipton Partnership, where she oversaw core business operations including sales, marketing and R&D.

She was also a non-executive director of Poundland Group between 2015 and 2016.

Gerald Corbett, chairman of SEGRO, said: “Mary’s extensive commercial experience in understanding customers through her various international roles in sales and marketing, together with her knowledge of the operation of the retail supply chain will prove a fantastic asset for SEGRO as we continue to focus on, and adapt to the ever changing needs and demands of our customers and wider stakeholders.”
