SEGRO this morning confirmed Windsor-based Meridian Leisure as investor and operator for a 174-bed Holiday Inn hotel at Winnersh Triangle.
The £23m hotel forms part of the business park’s £100m first phase redevelopment.
It will open in early 2010 as one of the first “new generation” Holiday Inns, designed in conjunction with Intercontinental Hotels Group.
SEGRO senior development manager Tim Jones said: “Securing Holiday Inn cements the success we have already achieved at Winnersh Triangle.”
Since January 2008, SEGRO has let 193,000 sq ft of offices at the first phase of the redevelopment of the park.
Jacobs has taken 133,000 sq ft on a 15-year lease, Norbain has taken 30,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease and Microchip has taken 30,000 sq ft on a 15-year lease.
