SEGRO plans multi-storey warehouse

SEGRO is preparing plans for a 450,000 sq ft multi-storey warehouse in Enfield, Greater London.

The industrial developer is working alongside Barratt as development partner for the £6bn regeneration site, which will also includes 10,000 homes.

SEGRO built the UK’s first multi-story warehouse, X2, at Heathrow eight years ago and has said it is planning similar developments across London. Multi-storey warehouses have faced controversy in the past, but they are a possible solution to increasing land constraints facing industrial developers.

SEGRO is also building two multi-storey warehouses in Europe – a 150,000 sq ft development in Munich and a 700,000 sq ft development in Northern Paris.
