SEGRO’s Meteor Park gains Four Star

Training and development company Four Star Employment and Skills has taken 37,042 sq ft at SEGRO’s Meteor Park in Birmingham.

The firm will occupy Unit 1 at the park, leased for 5 years at more than £200,000 pa, to provide training for more than 1,600 people each month on behalf of the Department of Work and Pensions.

The move follows the granting of planning permission from Birmingham council for the conversion of the industrial building as a training facility.

Four Star managing director Aaron Henricksen said: “This is an excellent location for us to establish this facility.

“We are grateful to the council for recognising how important this training facility is for the area.”

Jane Leedham, senior surveyor for SEGRO in the Midlands, said: “There continues to be interest in Meteor Park and despite the economic conditions we are very pleased to have secured this lease to Four Star Employment and Skills Limited on such competitive terms.

“It shows there is demand for SEGRO’s flexible business space and we look forward to working with Four Star.”

Meteor Park is a newly-completed estate comprising four units ranging in size from 22,000 sq ft to 115,000 sq ft, adjacent to the M6 motorway.

The letting of Unit 1 Meteor Park follows the letting of Unit 2 to PHS Datasafe, for 22,235 sq ft on a 20-year lease.
