SEGRO is to begin work at its Advent Way development in Enfield on 30 September.
The 128,250 sq ft industrial development has prelet 44,100 sq ft for a Premier Inn, with 84,150 sq ft being built speculatively.
SEGRO has obtained detailed consent for the scheme, which will be the firm’s first development in North London.
Advent Way covers 5.2 acres on the site of a disused factory which has now been demolished to make way for 15 industrial units ranging from 2,300 sq ft to 13,000 sq ft.
Completion is due in August 2014.
SEGRO business unit director Alan Holland said the project “demonstrates our commitment to creating modern new business parks in major conurbations, and at the same time, providing local employment opportunities”.
