Select Property Group has secured planning permission for 506 apartments across two buildings in Manchester designed for the rental market.
Located next to the Lowry Hotel on the banks of the River Irwell, the two buildings, Riverside and Riverview, will operate under Select’s Affinity Living brand.
Riverview will contain 318 apartments, while the 17-storey Riverside will comprise 188 apartments.
Today’s decision marks the third planning approval given for Select’s Affinity Living brand, after it won consent for 677 apartments at Circle Square last month in a joint venture with Bruntwood, and 684 apartments at Embankment West in May.
Enabling works are expected to begin in October. Riverside is scheduled to complete in Q1 2018 and Riverview in Q4 2019.
