Seven of the UK’s major property consultancies have agreed to join the British Property Federation-backed Real Service property benchmarking group.
CB Richard Ellis, DTZ, Jones Lang LaSalle, Knight Frank, Colliers CRE, King Sturge and Regent Street Direct (made up of the Crown Estate and Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker) will join the 17 property owners that currently form the group.
The enlarged group of members will work together to share and benchmark best practice in customer focused property management.
Paul Harding, European had of property management at DTZ, said: “Real Service is a very positive initiative and provides a focal point for the property industry to drive improvement and awareness of customer service.”
Julian Milne, UK commercial director at Grosvenor, who takes over from Land Securities’ Alf Strange as chairman of Real Service next month, added that the inclusion of consultancies in the group would strengthen relationships between owners and managers, leading to better service for occupiers.
The Real Service benchmarking group was set up in April 2004 by consultancy Kingsley Lipsey Morgan in a bid to show that landlords were taking lease reform seriously.
