Severn Trent Properties has lodged a planning application for 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft) of office and industrial development at Midpoint Park near Coventry.
The water company is in talks with Swiss firm Keuhne & Nagle to take up to 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft ) at Midpoint, but according to Severn’s agent Andrew Hall of Weatherall Green & Smith, no deal has yet been struck.
Severn Trent plans to sell the investment once the scheme is let.WG&S’s Tim Doughty said: “Severn Trent has received very strong interest but at the moment their plans are not yet finalised.” He added: “In the past they have tended to fund their developments themselves.”
Last year planning consent was granted for between 9,290 sq m and 13,935 sq m (100,000 and 150,000 sq ft) for car components manufacturer VDO, but the deal fell through. An outstanding consent for a further 11,148 sq m (120,000 sq ft) is still available for another user.
